Orthocrat Announces 50th Installation in 2005
Eleven Sites Select TraumaCad for Digital Orthopedic Planning
Eleven hospitals and clinics have selected Orthocrat’s TraumaCad to provide advanced
orthopedic planning and templating, bringing to 50 the total number of new installations this year.
The new sites chose TraumaCad for its advanced functionality, Web-driven, thin-client
architecture and ability to integrate seamlessly with a PACS or dedicated orthopedic
management software.
The recent TraumaCad installations include:
Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics, AL, with integration to an
Eclipses PACS

With its state-of-the-art technology, TraumaCad was an excellent fit for these advanced
medical facilities. Using a Web interface, the solution downloads from a server onto any Internetconnected
PC throughout the enterprise and beyond. The seven sites using Fuji Synapse PACS
have access to TraumaCad from within their PACS. Synapse manages a single user
authentication for both systems, allowing efficient, secure software access. After downloading
images though the PACS, orthopedists simply drag and drop them into the TraumaCad
workspace.
TraumaCad provides all facilities with an integrated comprehensive, cost-effective fully
digital orthopedic solution. Through precise manipulation of soft-copy images and application of
fixation and prosthetic systems, TraumaCad streamlines interventions, enhances outcomes and
cuts costs. It also includes advanced modular deformity correction and pediatric packages.
“We selected TraumaCad because it is a feature-rich, user-friendly and intuitive solution,”
said Frederic Wilson, Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for East Texas Medical Center. “The dragand-
drop Synapse interface is extremely fast and convenient. Overall, the system does a great
job.”
“Today, more and more orthopedists want to enjoy the benefits of full digital workflow,”
said Zeev Glozman, Orthocrat CEO and founder. “Seamless integration of an orthopedic
planning solution into image management software is crucial. TraumaCad was selected by these
prestigious installations because it meets this goal and offers a full complement of advanced
features.
