TRAUMACAD VERSION 2.0 TO BE FEATURED AT BALTIMORE
LIMB DEFORMITY COURSE

Orthocrat’s Enhanced Surgical Planning Tools Aid Deformity Correction
BALTIMORE, Md.—Orthocrat Ltd., the leader in digital imaging software for orthopedic
surgeons, has been invited to demonstrate its TraumaCad 2.0 digital surgical planning and
templating solution at the prestigious Baltimore Limb Deformity Course, Sept. 1-5 at the
Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore.
Orthocrat will provide hands-on computer-lab demonstrations of its forthcoming TraumaCad
2.0 enhancements during course presentations and individually for physicians in attendance.
“Orthocrat is delighted to be the only computer or surgical planning software vendor
participating in this important international conference,” said Zeev Glozman, Orthocrat’s
founder and CEO. “Our inclusion in this educational forum illustrates TraumaCad’s
recognition by orthopedists worldwide as a robust, relevant surgical planning solution.”
Course chairman Dr. Dror Paley collaborated with Orthocrat in developing the latest version
of its Web-based TraumaCad surgical planning software. Version 2.0 includes the Paley
Growth Calculator module, which predicts the growth potential of bones in pediatric patients
with immature skeletons. This helps physicians determine the ideal timing for surgical
interventions to treat deformities. Dr. Paley is director of the Rubin Institute for Advanced
Orthopedics and cofounder of its International Center for Limb Lengthening at Sinai Hospital
of Baltimore.
“By working with world-renowned surgeons like Dr. Paley, we have ensured that
TraumaCad 2.0 includes powerful planning tools to support the latest, most innovative
orthopedic surgical techniques,” Glozman said.
TraumaCad 2.0 includes the following features:

  • A dedicated "limb alignment" wizard guides the surgeon through marking anatomic
landmarks to define a deformed limb’s mechanical axis, measure its joint angles and
compare these measurements to the normal range and the expected post-operative
    result.
  • A comprehensive trauma module enables surgeons to simulate bone fragment
    manipulation.
  • Users can virtually move and rotate bone fragments according to Center of Rotation
of Angulation principles that surgeons will learn during the deformity course.
  • The software visualizes surgical procedures before surgeons perform them.
  • TraumaCad 2.0 allows for the constant tracking of axes and angles in relationship to
corrected anatomic landmarks to demonstrate the landmarks’ positions in real time
    during surgery.
TraumaCad seamlessly integrates with PACS to give orthopedic surgeons user-friendly
access to advanced display protocols and flexible review functionalities across the
enterprise. TraumaCad’s orthopedic planning tools are available anywhere on the PACS
network, and surgical plans are available on demand throughout the enterprise. Its true
thin-client, Web-based architecture enables downloads from a central server and delivers a
consistent, PACS-integrated working environment regardless of the user’s location.
