JOrthocrat Debuts GrowthFactor for Pediatric Orthopedic
Radiographic Measurement

November 28. Chicago--Orthocrat, the leading digital orthopedic planning manufacturer,
introduces at RSNA 2004 GrowthFactor, an innovative digital solution addressing the diagnostic
measurement and surgical planning needs of pediatric orthopedic surgeons. GrowthFactor
automates a full range of complex pediatric radiographic measurements and compares them to
normal values. Multi-functional and easy-to-use, Growth Factor also offers simulation of
corrective surgical procedures such as osteotomy and epiphysiodesis and streamlines the
conversion to digital pediatric orthopedic workflow. Growth factor also includes automated
multiplier predictions for calculating mature height, leg length discrepancy and timing for
epiphyseodesis.

pediatric orthopedic templates such as osteotomy plates and screws. GrowthFactor also will
produce comprehensive patient reports for each case to be integrated into patient charts and
archived with other patient records. GrowthFactor was developed in collaboration with
orthopedists from major pediatric centers, including Doctors Dror Paley, John Herzenberg and
Shawn Standard of Rubin Institute of Biomechanics at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
Also new at RSNA 2004 will be Orthocrat TraumaCad version 1.3 with a range of
enhanced features that add new functionality and ease of-use to the company’s advanced Webbased
preoperative orthopedic planning solution.
