ORTHOCRAT UNVEILS LATEST VERSION OF TRAUMACAD AT RSNA
TraumaCad 3D first templating software with 3D modeling

Tel Aviv, ISRAEL—TraumaCad by Orthocrat, the industry’s leading digital orthopedic surgical planning solution, continues to pioneer new applications for orthopedic surgeons with the announcement of TraumaCad 3D at RSNA 2006 in Chicago.
TraumaCad 3D will expand upon the feature-rich, user-friendly and Web-based functionality of the original version by introducing a 3D modeling capability.

The first edition of TraumaCad 3D— scheduled for commercial release in February 2007—will focus on total hip replacements (THR). Hip surgeons have the most urgent need for 3D templating and preoperative planning solutions.
Orthocrat will demonstrate a work-in-progress version of TraumaCad 3D at RSNA. A second edition is scheduled for release in August 2007. This edition will include advanced THR and four additional 3D templating and preoperative planning applications: total knee replacement, spinal surgery, deformity correction and foot osteotomies.
Using a simple wizard-like process, TraumaCad 3D guides surgeons through all pre-surgical planning steps, while allowing total freedom in visualizing clinical decisions. TraumaCad 3D streamlines interventions, enhances outcomes, and cuts costs by enabling advanced orthopedic surgical planning through precise manipulation of soft-copy images and the application of fixation and prosthetic systems.
TraumaCad 3D allows greater accuracy and simplicity when compared to traditional templating techniques. TraumaCad 3D’s advanced software provides surgeons with the specific tools, instruments, and implants needed to plan a full range of orthopedic surgeries—enabling preoperative plans to be archived with patient files and viewed in the operating room, ultimately shortening procedure time.
