Stamford, CT June 26, 2006 Orthocrat today announced that its orthopedic digital solution
to provide advanced orthopedic surgical planning and templating, called Traumacad, has been
selected by Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. TraumaCad has a true thin-client Webbased
architecture, which allows it to download from a central server and deliver a consistent
working environment, integrated with PACS, wherever users are working on a hospital network.
“Orthocrat is proud to have been selected by such a prestigious hospital to provide our
TraumaCad software to enable digital orthopedic procedure planning, helping the hospital to
round out its digital enterprise,” said Orthocrat Vice President of Business Development, Hayim
Raclaw. “Montefiore’s choice of TraumaCad underscores our commitment to delivering
advanced orthopedic functionality in the most IT-friendly manner in the market today.”

Orthocrat worked to develop a seamless, intuitive interface. TraumaCad can be accessed and
loaded with the right data seamlessly from the PACS workstation, or, with just a few clicks from
the TraumaCad application, users can access the PACS database.
“We are committed to providing our doctors, nurses and specialists with state-of-the-art
tools and technology that support quality patient care and a great medical center experience for
our patients and their families,” said Mony Weschler, associate director of CIS/Ancillary Systems,
Emerging Health Information Technology, Montefiore Medical Center. “Providing our orthopedic
surgeons with the IHE-integrated templating tools they require without having to print film is the
latest step towards our goal of becoming a 100 percent digital imaging-based medical center.”
