ORTHOCRAT DEMONSTRATES TRAUMACAD 2.0 at AAOS

New Version Brings Upgraded Foot, Spine, Hip, Trauma, and Reporting Features
Tel Aviv, ISRAEL—TraumaCad by Orthocrat, the industry’s leading digital orthopedic surgical
planning solution, will showcase the latest upgrades to its dynamic TraumaCad software at
the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) conference, February 14–16 in San
Diego. TraumaCad 2.0 offers enhanced surgical planning options for orthopedic procedures. It
expands upon the feature-rich, user-friendly, Web-based functionality of the original version
by offering surgeons additional resources that enable more thorough and accurate planning
of foot, spine, hip, and trauma surgeries. The new version also provides more reporting
options. “TraumaCad 2.0 improves an already powerful tool that orthopedic surgeons worldwide use to plan complicated as well as more standard procedures,” said Zeev Glozman, Orthocrat’s
founder and CEO. “It offers improved tools for measurement, labeling, and implant
positioning—all of which were developed by our experienced team of surgeons and
engineers.”
Specialized templates simplify planning for the most common types of orthopedic surgery.
Highlights of TraumaCad 2.0 include the following:

  • Foot and ankle procedures: Provides multiple measurement tools, including a wizard
that assists in planning accurate foot osteotomies.
  • Spinal surgery: Facilitates preoperative planning for spinal deformity corrections,
offers vertebra labeling, and simplifies implant positioning.
  • Post-total hip replacement: Allows surgeons to visualize wear measurement,
projected leg lengths, and offset changes. Cup abduction and stem versions are
    also available.
  • Trauma surgery: Improves implant manipulation with visualization of a wide variety
of locking plates and a grouping of implants and fragments.
  • Reporting: Offers improved perioperative reports, including templated images,
selected implants, and a wide variety of measurement and patient positioning options.
  • TraumaCad 3D: Guides surgeons through all pre-surgical planning steps while
allowing total freedom in visualizing clinical decisions. It enables greater accuracy
and simplicity when compared to traditional templating techniques.
“TraumaCad 2.0’s advanced software provides surgeons with the specific tools, instruments,
and implants they need to plan a full range of orthopedic surgeries,” Glozman said. “By
allowing users to archive preoperative plans with patient files and view them in the
operating room, our software ultimately shortens procedure times. It seamlessly integrates
with any PACS and displays images from a full range of modalities. TraumaCad 2.0 more
fully meets the needs of surgeons and enables them to benefit from digital imaging & PACS”
As part of its AAOS exhibit, Orthocrat will also present TraumaCad 3D–the markets first 3D
templating solution.
