RamSoft to Distribute Orthocrat TraumaCad Digital Orthopedic Solution
March 23, 2006, Petach-Tikva, Israel--Orthocrat, Ltd. (Petach-Tikva, Israel) today announced that RamSoft will distribute Orthocrat’s digital orthopedic surgical planning and templating solution TraumaCad as part of its advanced PACS. Orthocrat was selected, in part, because its standards-based, open architecture facilitated easy integration with the RamSoft application, resulting in an elegant, combined solution with a user-friendly interface and a full range of advanced features.
“Orthopedic digital solutions are an important growth area, and RamSoft wanted to provide a high-quality product that would lead the marketplace,” said Michal Szabla, marketing manager for RamSoft. “TraumaCad helped us meet that goal with an advanced offering providing all the tools orthopedists need to transition easily and seamlessly into a filmless environment.”
The company felt that Orthocrat’s numerous unique features would combine with its own advanced PACS to create a product with special appeal in the marketplace. Among these are automatic downloading of template updates, support for a full range of template pages, an intuitive graphic user interface and a comprehensive range of tools, which were designed by orthopedists themselves.
“Because it was created based on significant input from orthopedists, the TraumaCad application is designed from the ground up to meet an orthopedists needs,” said Szabla.
A full-featured digital orthopedic solution, TraumaCad enables precise manipulation of soft-copy medical images and application of fixation and prosthetic systems for comprehensive planning of a full range of orthopedic surgeries. It provides a library of prosthetic templates and includes an advanced modular deformity correction and pediatric package. Completed surgical plans are saved to RamSoft archive along with other patient files. The RamSoft-Orthocrat solution supports access to the complete digital orthopedic work environment thorough any Internet-enabled computer.
Commenting on the new agreement, Zeev Glozman, Orthocrat CEO and founder, said “We are extremely excited about the potential of this relationship and look forward to a long and productive partnership benefiting both our companies.”
Orthocrat Vice President of Business Development Hayim Raclaw commented, “Our companies share a commitment to meeting the full range of needs of the orthopedic market and to delivering an integrated product that remains on the cutting edge of technology.”
